THE BROTHERHOOD
TWO CATEGORIES
WITH TWO LEVELS OF SUPPORT
​The Brotherhood is structured into two categories that build on each other as a culture of kinship and elder initiation; Foundations Brotherhood and Alumni Brotherhood.
Foundations Brotherhood (levels 1&2) is for men who are new to our community and have not yet taken the 3 month course, Path of The Embodied King. Foundations is for men who are ready to start/continue their inner work and feel if the TEK Brotherhood culture is a good fit for their journey.
Alumni Brotherhood (levels 1 & 2), is for men who have completed Path of The Embodied King. This brotherhood is only for men who have completed all steps of the course and is thus a very potent group of men dedicated to this work.

Each category has multiple levels of support and commitment to help meet you where you are and help you evolve into the next stage of your healing, maturation, awakening and leadership in all areas of your life.

TEK FOUNDATIONS
BROTHERHOOD
FOUNDATIONS BASIC
âžµ Two main group calls per month on the first Wednesday and second Thursday from 6pm to 730pm CET (mandatory calls)
âžµ The Wednesday call is a 90 minute full brotherhood group practice and coaching call with Ian and the TEK Alumni Brotherhood.

THE CALL TIMES & STUCTURE
On the first Wednesday of every month, there will be a TEK Full Brotherhood Call with both Foundations and Alumni. This will be a 90 minute coaching call and men's circle with Ian and it will also be the monthly on-boarding call for new brothers and re-commitment call for any men who are starting a new 2 month commitment cycle (this is explained in the commitments section).
The Alumni Brotherhood will have a second Alumni only 90 minute call with Ian on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Foundations Brotherhood will have their second monthly call on the 3rd Thursday of every month lead by an Alumni brother. Every new foundations brother will also have an alumni wingman for continuous monthly 1:1 support and accountability.​​​​​​​​​
​
There ​will also be spontaneous workshops from alumni brothers on specific topics from fitness, to finance to spirituality and more as well as off week men's circles.
TEK CALL GUIDELINES
All live calls will take place on zoom. The work is 75% embodied practice or exercises and it's important that your space is set up for this on every call. We adhere to the understanding that how we show up for the calls is how we are showing up for life. How we present ourselves is a practice and expression of our level of maturity and consciousness in itself. Below are the guidelines for how we practice this.

1. PROPER SPACE
Seated on the floor or chair with proper cushions to be upright with a straight back with space to move and privacy to make noise and be undisturbed.
​
2. ​PROPER LIGHTING
We should be able to see you from the chest up and clearly be able to see your face and eyes fully present and ready for practice.
​​
3. PROPER INTERNET
Make sure your internet connection is secure and stable for the calls. This can vary and is sometimes out of our control however the intention is to consciously and meticulously plan to make sure it is the best it can be so you can practice and connect well with the group.
4. LAPTOP WITH GALLERY VIEW, NO PHONES
All calls must be joined from a laptop with gallery view so that you can see all brothers and the space clearly and they can see you.

5. NO CALLS FROM PUBLIC SPACES OR WHILE TRAVELING
Sometimes this cannot be avoided, but in general, do not take calls from public space or while traveling or in transit. Your space must be private and free of distractions.
6. SOBRIETY
Do not show up for calls under the infuence of substance of any kind. Your vessel must be sober and mind clear.

7. NO EATING
Eating is not allowed on the calls and show up to the calls having eaten your last meal at least an hour ago so as to make sure strong breath or movement practice does not disturb you or cause discomfort. Drinks and water close by are of course ok.

All calls will be recorded and uploaded to the online video library for review and for any men that miss a call and want to re-watch it. The calls will not be shared or used in any other way outside the course, with the exception of audio/video recordings of Ian's teachings.

READY TO BE INITIATED INTO THE NEXT STAGE OF EMBODIED & AWAKENED MANHOOD
In every ancient culture in which there was an authentic spiritual path oriented towards truth, love and God, men have gathered ritualistically with one another to sharpen, reflect and hold one another accountable to uphold the integrity, safety, core values and well being of the tribe.
​
They recognized that men where the providers of the physical, emotional and spiritual safety. If men were not well in themselves or in alignment with each other, the tribe was not safe and could not move forward, much like what we witness today. They understood that there was nothing more important for the well being of the tribe than their commitment to gather and help each other to heal, rise and awaken in love and strength.
​
The pure intention of the brotherhood and of this sacred work is the fire that lights the way forward, but the commitment and integrity of each man in the circle is the wood that keeps that fire burning.
Therefore, to be in this circle, and in this prayer, a minimum commitment must be upheld by every brother.
WHAT IT TAKES TO JOIN US
(TEK CORE COMMITMENTS)
1. TEK SPIRITUAL PRACTICE COMMITMENT
Every man agrees to a minimum of 15 minutes of TEK Embodied Spiritual Practice done 3/7 days a week and posting their overall commitments every 2 weeks in the "Accountability" channel, and doing daily (if needed) check ins depending on his commitments.

2. ​TIME COMMITMENT
Every man commits to stay in the brotherhood for a minimum of 2 months starting from their on-boarding call, attending 3/4 main group calls in the 2 month period and committing from there forth in 2 month cycles.

3. TEK HONOR CODE OF INTEGRITY
Every man commits to adhere to the TEK Honor Code of Integrity, meaning, if he falls out of integrity with any of his personal stated commitments or "TEK Standard Commitments" he will hold himself accountable by stating this publicly in the brotherhood and performing 1 of the multiple "TEK Clean Ups" (an approximately 20 minute practice of physical training, breath, and meditation)

4. THE C.C.H.A.O.S CONTAINER AGREEMENT
Every man commits to adhere to the following agreements.

Confidentiality: Every word and story that is spoken in the brotherhood, stays in the brotherhood.

Commitment: To uphold and adhere to all commitments and guidelines of the brotherhood.

Honesty: To speak and express with total sincerity and honestly to the best of ones ability.

Acceptance: To accept every brother in the space with a non judgmental and embracing attitude.

Ownership: Taking full ownership for our experience, thoughts and feelings by using "I" statements and refraining from projecting our story onto others.

Sacredness: Treating this brotherhood, the calls, and our work as if it were a sacred ceremony meant for our deepest healing and showing up for that prayer accordingly.

4. MONTHLY ACCOUNTABILITY BROTHER CALL
Every man commits to have two 30 minute calls per month with his accountability brother.
​
5. MONDAY WEEKLY CHECK IN
Every man commits to check in every week on Monday in the "Open Sharing" chat with at least 3 sentences on how he's doing.
If you fail to meet these commmitments in some way shape or form after joining, you will have an opportunity to do a "Clean Up" to come back into integrity with these commitments (Commitment #3). If you fail to meet these commitments and you also fail to adhere to the TEK Honor Code of integrity we will understand that this kind of space is not for you at this time in your journey. We take commitment, accountability, practice and integrity very seriously and this brotherhood is for men ready to commit and go deep.

MEET YOUR GUIDE
IAN WILKES
Ian is a men's work facilitator and coach, couples intimacy and relationship coach, breath-work and trauma release facilitator, and yoga/meditation teacher.
​
In 2012, Ian left his life as a night club promoter and hotel manager in New York City on a spontaneous longing for meaning, healing and truth.
​
Ian then spent 14 years and continuing in deep practice and study of ancient spiritual traditions and healing arts around the world. From living in ashrams in India, to Buddhist monasteries in Myanmar, to being an apprentice to an Ayahuasca shaman in the Amazon to studying with masters of modern healing modalities, to spending 3+ years in silent solitary retreats. This intense longing for truth and practice lead him to experience life changing healing and profound moments of deep understanding and illumination.
​
After many years spent in solitude on this journey a deeper integration began to take place when there was an awakening to the reality of the suffering of men and the epidemic of wounded masculinity on our planet. It was soon revealed that his true calling was to be in devoted service to the healing, maturation and awakening of men as well as re initiating the spiritual path of intimate relationship and the healing between the masculine and feminine.
​
Through that realization, an absolute devotion arose to the study, experience and integration of men's work and relationship on the path of embodied awakening. Ian has now been holding life changing courses and retreats all around world for men and for couples with his beloved wife Valentina.
​​
He has founded The Embodied King Men's Work, a thriving global brotherhood and complete spiritual path in itself for the healing and awakening of the masculine soul. In the field of relationship he also founded The Path of True Intimacy with Valentina, a global community of couples and complete modality for the spiritual path of intimate relationship.
​
Because of his deep curiosity, fire for practice and openness to all angles of healing and spiritual awakening he studied and immersed himself deeply in many paths and modalities including Yoga, meditation, trauma release, psychotherapy, inner child work, Tantra, embodied intimacy, relationship therapy, plant medicine, shadow work, group therapy, men's work and much more.
Ian now combines his vast knowledge of all these modalities and his personal journey and relationship to support the prayer of healing and awakening for men, and couples through retreats and courses all of over the world.
