Simply put, the quality of our breath is a direct reflection of the quality of our life and health. When we're stressed, angry or suppressing emotion the breath is shallow and short. When we're calm and centered the breath is balanced and flowing. The yogis of India discovered and documented this over 2500 years ago realizing that when the breath was controlled, so was the mind. Since then, it's also been confirmed by science that the breath has the power to control and balance the nervous system, eliminate stress, release suppressed trauma as well as prevent and heal disease.
